Mrs. Metashar Bankhead Dillon is the epitome of a brilliant, yet humble, 4th generation entrepreneur with an extraordinary sense of social responsibility. She is currently President/CEO of TIGRE Entertainment and Production Company, LLC, a US-Based company, and Chairman of the Board and President of Kingdom International Economic Development Corporation (KIEDC) (www.KIEDC.com), a Non-profit Foundation that brings forth hope and builds on a commitment to deliver socio-economic change to benefit all of humanity.

Prior to establishing KIEDC, she was the founder and Executive Director of the Miss Black Connecticut Scholarship Pageant, a program which has given out numerous scholarship awards to young women to pursue higher education since 1989. Since the year 2000, she has been holding statewide food and resource rallies to help people in Connecticut, nationally and abroad. Chandra Winford is the Chief Financial Officer for a worldwide Ministry in Georgia. Under her direction, the ministry has overcome millions of dollars deficit in a little over a year. Andrea Jeffress, MD, FACOG

Dr. Andrea Jeffress knows what it means to have a hand up and not a hand out. As the first recipient of the first scholarship given by KIEDC’s CEO’s, Metashar Dillon, in 1991, she received her medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine. She completed her OBGYN residency at Yale New Haven Hospital.

She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Jeffress has been in practice with OB/GYN Associates of Erie since 2000.

She has many passions and hobbies, including sports, traveling, movies, and the Arts; however, her greatest joy is volunteering for civic organizations, such as Mercyhurst University, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter for Alzheimer’s Organization, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Kingdom International Economic Development Corporation which trains and empowers women to pursue education and entrepreneurship and works to “Go Direct” to fight poverty and hunger in our local communities and throughout our nation.  …read more

Mrs. Constance Le’Von Manus

Mrs. Constance Le’Von Manus was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina to William and Minnette Gwyn. Her mother passed away when she was three years old of breast cancer. She was raised by her father, along with three siblings. During her upbringing, she learned the art and the spirit of perseverance. She attended Shaw University and graduated in 1974 with a BS in Behavioral Science. In 1988, she received her Masters in Special Education from Edinboro University.

A fearless and compassionate educator, she retired after 26 years of teaching in the Erie School District. She also worked as a social worker in many other places, such as the El Paso Texas school district, Spokane public schools, family services of Erie Pennsylvania, and as the CHAMPS After School Program Coordinator in the Erie School District. She was a 2009 Dress for Success Dynamic 12 award recipient.

One of her greatest legacies was created when she worked for 20 years as the Ebony Fashion Fair Public Relations Chairperson for a local Erie organization called WHISPER (Women Helping Interested Students Pursue Educational Resources). Mr. Rickey McCullough

Mr. Rickey McCullough is the Associate Ombudsman for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. He has over 35 years of service in the banking industry as a federal regulator with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), serving within the FDIC’s Office of the Ombudsman for over 18 years.

Mr. McCullough began his FDIC career in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships where he has served in various leadership roles including, Managing Liquidator, Supervisory Liquidation Specialist, and as a Managing Agent for the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) during the S&L crisis where he was assigned to run the operations of a $200 million financial institution. As the FDIC’s Associate Ombudsman and designated neutral, he acts as a change agent to identify trends, issues and concerns about agency policies and procedures that affect the banking industry. He works to assist bankers, depositors of insured financial institutions and the public when affected by the FDIC in its regulatory, resolution, receivership or asset disposition activities.

Elicia Pegues Spearman

Elicia Pegues Spearman is an experienced Employment Attorney and Human Resources Leader that worked for Aetna, a Fortune 50 Company, for twelve years. She has also been employed by other private, federal government and state organizations. For over sixteen years Attorney Spearman has practiced and litigated a wide variety of employment matters in state and federal courts. She has been licensed to practice law in four states and before the United States Supreme Court. Prior to working at Aetna, she worked as an attorney for Children’s Hospital, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

For the last seven years she has progressively acquired and honed various human resources skill sets by assuming different leadership roles such as managing the Employee Relations and Compliance Center of Excellence to servicing clients as a Human Resources Business Partner. Mrs. Spearman is well-known for her executive coaching, negotiating, recruiting, organizational design, change management and strategic planning skills. Currently, she consults and advises private clients on various legal matters but specializes in contract negotiations, severance and employment contracts.

Mr. Luther R. Manus
Honorary Chair Member

Luther R. Manus, Jr. was born on October 10, 1927 in Erie, Pennsylvania. He lost his mother at an early age, and he had several brothers and sisters to support. Life was hard in those years, but the family survived. He was forced to drop out of school in the eighth grade, and he worked various jobs to help support the family.

Luther was drafted in 1946 and served in the Army until 1949. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Gannon College in 1953. During that time, he had four children, Carlton Manus, Denice Manus, Cynthia Manus, Stephanie Manus, and Dr. Sandie Manus Fields.

With the Bachelor’s degree in hand, he re-entered the Army as a 2nd Lieutenant. He was challenged with many assignments and responsibilities from 1953-1955. During that time, he lost his officer’s commission and was reduced to Sergeant 1st Class, but he remained determined. He eventually regained the rank and respect he knew he deserved. On September 28, 1961 he was reassigned to Verona, Italy in the transportation division.

Dr. Denise Green

Dr. Denise Green attended Antioch College Yellow Springs, Ohio. She obtained her BA in Liberal Arts in 1984. She always had a passion for medicine as a young child. She realized she had to pursue a career in medicine. As a result, she took the necessary required pre-medical courses.

Prior to beginning her medical school program, she was an Instructor in Neurodiagnostic Testing at UCLA, Sleep-Lab Manager at Stanford University Hospital, and a member of a “open-Heart Surgery Team”.

All of those experiences influenced her desire for a career in medicine. She attended medical school from 1986-1990 at the Autonomous University School of Medicine in Guadalajara Mexico. She received her MD in 1990. This was a humbling experience personally and professionally.

As a result, she became bi-lingual in Spanish. This increased her sensitivity to the Hispanic Culture. This proved to be an asset in her career. During this time, she was fascinated with Folk Medicine and different  …read more

Captain Patricia Helliger

Captain Patricia Helliger was hired by the New Haven Police Department in October 1995. She was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the fourth year as an officer and assigned to Internal Affairs, Communications, Narcotics and Family Services Divisions. In 2009 she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. As a Lieutenant she supervised patrol officers and sergeants as the shift commander. She has been the OIC (Officer in Charge) of the Records and Property units. On February 19, 2016, she was promoted as the first Black female Captain and assigned as the Deputy of Administration. She is currently in charge of Property, Records, Planning, Garage/Fleet units and the New Haven Animal Shelter.

Graduated from Stony Brook University, L.I. NY with a degree in Liberal Arts with a Psychology Minor. She attended SMIP (Senior Management Institute for Police) which is part of Executive Strategic Management (PREF), Certified as a FBI Crisis Negotiator and a Kingian (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.) Nonviolence Instructor.

Yvonne Davis is an international relations expert specializing in politics and world affairs around the globe. She has worked in dozens of countries in the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe studying and reporting on critical economic and socio-political issues.

Davis was a Presidential Appointee of George W. Bush, and serves as a guest lecturer and speaker for the U.S. Department of State and Universities worldwide.

Davis holds a M.S. in Leadership and Business Ethics from Duquesne University, and a M.A. in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations, Comparative Politics and Political Theory from the University of Connecticut. She completed graduate leadership studies in Belgium, and completed “The Art and Practice of Leadership,” at Harvard’s John F. Ryan L. Scott

In 1995, she received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery, (DDS), from Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN. In that same year, she became a board certified practicing dentist. In the two years that followed, she developed and perfected her skills in dentistry while serving as an associate dentist with several of her colleagues in the Atlanta area. In 1997, Dr. Dillon set out to start her own practice and opened Gentle Family Dentistry P.C., in Stone Mountain, Georgia and a second location, Spalding Gentle Dentistry in 2013 in Norcross, Georgia.
